I like the black one. It already has the oil stains on the ground. That's how you tell a Ford owner lives there, oil stains in the driveway!

Thanks. I thought about that - however I felt it would look odd having the word Camaro duplicated twice in the same area.

Its up to you. But remember if you choose to do so, you're opening yourself up to V8 owners asking you the tried and true question we V6'ers get bombarded with everyday.

Wait for it........

And I quote "So why didnt you get a V8"?

Do you really need and or want that in your life?

Funny the only place I have been asked that is on the forum.. Never in public. My answer is always the same, "Because that is what I wanted"...

Funny, as a V8 owner, I've never asked anyone with a V6 why they didn't get a V8 for two reasons - 1) I figure it's a personal choice & they had their reasons for doing so and 2) I also figured it's none of my business. Now, I have had V6 owners give me unsolicited explanations as to why they did ... and ask me why I 'needed' a V8

I've heard many people ask a co worker why he bought a camaro with a v6.Many....and I've heard the comments when he isn't around about it ....those that think this doesn't happen need to get out more.

You're 100% right ... I should have added, I have also heard others ask V6 owners the 'why' question

All I have been asked (many times)is if it was a V8, when I say no it's a 3.6L V6 with 323HP. The reply I usually get is "Thats pretty good for a V6". Never had anyone outside this forum ask why, then again I really don't care if they like it or not, it's my car and I like it.
But the comment that I hear most often is "Beautiful car".

I have a non-RS 1le, I sooooo bad want to put a red SS on the trunk to match the red brake calipers. I just can't do it. I CAN'T be that guy. Custom badges/stripes/stickers are fine, you just can't misrepresent. And if you do, don't get pissy when someone calls you on it.

I've never been asked why I got the V6 either. I get a lot of thumbs up and waves though. Especially from the massive amounts of women that have a white V6 Camaro in AZ.

Wasn't sure on placement and whether it should've gone on the far left drivers side or leave it where it is. For now I'm okay with it.

Admit it, you want people to think it's a 6th generation.

I got the V6 because I got a good deal on my base V6 for only $18.9K.

A V8 would be at least $32K+ for a base 1SS and a stock Mustang GT can beat it and the new 6th gen Camaro "V8" is even faster still. If going fast was all I cared about, I'd get an old 3rd or 4th gen and mod the silly crap out of it.

With a few mods running E85 on a Overkill tune, the V6 is capable of up to 320 rwhp. Derek proved that with his V6 pulling an impressive 316 rwhp. That's almost 385 hp at the crank which is just under 20 hp shy at the crank than what the "400 hp" L99 was rated at. A few minor mods here and there, he will be at "V8" power levels with his little "V6". That's pretty darn impressive in my book.

Most people are impressed with the performance of the 3.6, both the hp. and the fuel mileage. I have people tell me abou how there 4gen six had 200hp and are surprised about the 323 mine makes, or how they had an v-8 that got only 285hp. But there a couple that say it's not a muscle car, so I say it's my daily driver, what's yours? They even make what the feel are 'funny' downloaded pictures with childish captions on them. Most people like how she looks,as do I. And for the people who knock and slam on her, it's so obvious that they are just jealous.
