How many other people get this question a lot? I know a lot of cars by the looks of them but I am amazed at how many people don't know the Z/28 is a Camaro.

I guess I never realized the car does not have a camaro emblem anywhere.

Well to car people it's obvious, but too many people expect only "bumblebee". I had a Porsche guy ask me what the heck I was driving... Really... Oh well.

Never been asked that. Everyone who has asked me about it knew what it was. No telling how many are wondering what it is, esp. since I removed the rear bow tie.

Gotta wonder how many of those folks could identify any Camaro for what it is.

Today I had a guy ask me about my car. He didn't know anything about the Z/28. Just said it was a great looking car. We talked for a few minutes, he was looking at it and asking questions and then he says "is this a Camaro?". He obviously knew what a Camaro was, but he didn't immediately recognize mine as such.

I have noticed that a lot of people see the body style and think Camaro but then don't see a Camaro badge and second guess themselves. Happened at the detail shop when I took it in to make a appointment.

I always get asked "is that the supercharged one?" Or, "is that the new ZL1?"

When I say no, it's a Z/28, then folks lose interest and respond, "i didn't know they still made those. So, it's like an SS?"

Pending on who it is, I'll either give them a Smart A$$ response like, yeah a 3SS or its whatever you want it to be. If they are seriously interested and honestly curious I'll tell them the truth.

I will say though, I've had quite a few folks pull up and REALLY stare at the fender...
