Widen existing rims?
I've got stock 20" 12-13 SS rims. I've had them powder coated gloss black and I love the look... But I'm trying to get more tire in the rear. Has anyone had these widened to fit 305 or 315s? Is there an aftermarket rim that is a replica already available as a 10" wide?

So you had them widened? Or are they reproduction wheels? Because stock those are 8" front and 9" rear.

the polished aluminum wheels were a $900 upgrade and they were 9" fronts and 10" rears.

That is incorrect. The polished wheels are no wider.

OKAY, so I finally figured out where I got the idea that my polished aluminum wheels were 9" and 10" -- on the Chevrolet website, where you could build your 2014 Camaro the option stated the polished wheels were 20 x 9 and 20 x 10.
Now I have no idea what size my wheels are. Y'all say 8" & 9", you may very well be right. Currently I'm running Pirelli P Zeros 275/40ZR20 fronts and 305/35ZR20 rears. They're not too bulggy and they fit fine, no rubbing, road tested fine, took it to two different mechanics, the wheel shop and my regular mechanic and they both said they were fine. Should I be worried? I don't track. I daily drive about 0.5 miles a day. And I have been on the freeway with these tires - highest speed, prbly 88, don't plan on going much faster ever, and definitely NO burn outs. Will I survive?
