New Wheels and Tires

So I just got these:

http://www.carid.com/spec-1-wheels/s...-69939782.html

With these:

http://www.carid.com/spec-1-wheels/s...-69939782.html

They ship on the 22nd. Anybody have any experience with these or even better, have them or something like it? The rims are 20s.

Also, wheel replacement question: I can certainly take a wheel off and put a new one on but is there anything I need to know concerning the PSI gauge? The new wheels include new PSI gauges, is there anything I need to know? Like how to replace the old ones on the old tires with the new ones on the new ones?

I think you are referring to TPMS sensors that monitor the air pressure in the tires while driving the car. They are located in the wheels, & are connected to the back side of the valve stem.

Your tire installer should be able to mount your new tires without damaging them. MAKE SURE that you find a shop that can mount your tires on alloy wheel s without damaging them!

MAKE SURE that you ask them UP FRONT these questions, before letting them do the install! Post some photo's after the install!

Thanks man! I will certainly post pics of the new wheels after install. I can't freekin' wait till they get here.

Back to business: my apologies for not mentioning this in the first post: so I bought the rims AND tires from CARiD. They mount the tires on the rims, inflate and balance them before shipping them to me. So all I should have to do, after learning about the TPMS (yup, that's what I meant, thank you again), is take the old wheels off and put the new ones on. I plan on doing that myself. You seem rather wheel savvy. Knowing that the wheels (rims) are coming with with tires already mounted, is that all I have to do?

In your links it says that the bolt pattern on the rims are 5x105. The camaro has 5x120. So unless you are fitting them to another brand of car, these rims won't fit on a camaro.

The link does not give a specific bolt pattern. It gives a range of patterns that are available. Hopefully OP ordered 5x120.

5x105-139.7 Bolt Patterns

Hey Liberty Pilot!

It's Jon from the vn750 forum, your former Meanstreak partner.
Just got a '14 2LT RS last week, we seem to mirror each other!

Yeah, the seller's customer service, from all indications so far, is impeccable. They told me on the phone, "we won't sell you something that won't fit on your car. Fitment is 100 percent guaranteed and even covered under warranty." It's why I went with these guys. You're right that I didn't know the bolt pattern but I also knew I didn't need to know. That said, I'm glad I know now. Thank you both for your help, I appreciate it.

When I contacted the manufacturer and asked them this question, they sent me back a document explaining the process for resetting the TPMS on your wheels - if it's necessary. I thought I'd share it here in case anyone else finds it helpful. He said I will most likely not need to do this, the new TPMS' should work just fine without doing this. But just in case, he sent me this:

Once again my friend, in fact now uncannily for the third time, "you have excellent taste in vehicles!" From a VN750, to a Mean Streak, to a Camaro - we're like vehicle brothers. Sending you a PM.
