+1. As a cop, I often hear complaints from people about being threatened on facebook, etc. When I suggest they delete their account, their reaction is akin to me saying they should gouge out their eyes so they can't read it.

I do not see the draw to social media as the only opinions I care about are those who live in my house or raised me.

I don't understand this man. I got the car because I like the way it looks, that's it, end of story, nothing else to it. I don't race, why do I need a V8? The only thing I liked about the V8 package in terms of what I could "use" was that SOUND....I'm currently in the process of adding an MRTv2 to provide a more muscular sound.

But my feelings have been hurt, crushed, etc., it's even to the point of DEPRESSION. I know that sounds completely weird and extreme, but it's like on one hand when I take this out into the real world, I'm getting stares/compliments like crazy. Much more than I got from my previous car which was a 2011 Charger, which got stares/compliments but no where NEAR the level of the Camaro.

But when I hear all of this stuff about because my engine is a V6, I don't know, it's just starting to depress me and I'm being honest about that.

I don't WANT to trade my vehicle in after less than 3 months of having it for a V8, just to "feel better" about myself as the comments from these folks have honestly F'ed with my head.

I'm adding an MRTv2 Performance Package and that's going to provide a better muscular sound. From there, I personally LIKE the car and I like the compliments I get. But damn....I want to hold this car until 2021 - 2022 and I'm wondering can I mentally endure the HATE-FILLED comments from people because my engine has 6 cylinders and not 8?

If someone is making fun of you and telling you that you need a v8. It's because they feel inadequate and need the V8 to compensate for what they don't have

Your '15 V6 has more power than a 2010 and older GT Mustangs, most 4th gen Camaros/Firebirds, and is a hell of a lot quicker than their Kia/Hyundai/Toyota/Honda/Scion hunk of crap. Get out of your safe zone, dump the b!+ch, grow the pair that they're insinuating you don't have, and proudly drive your V6 Camaro. If they say that "it's only a V6" tell them "at least it's not a 4 cylinder" like is now available in the 6th gen.

I've only had ONE woman I've been dating talk about why didn't I get the V8. That honestly hurt though, even though it didn't stop her from sleeping with me, it still hurt when she said that.

Running around here in a town of 250,000 about 3/4 of the Camaros running around are v-6 some RS lots LS, and its a nice looking car and can be trimmed to taste as any Camaro a thing to be proud of no matter what others think, IN fact most are secretly wishing they had your car, and many even your mileage. And the speed is very good for a 6 and some people have turbo even. I have a coworker who has a very nice 6 with razzi ground effects and its blue with red accents like the hood spears and he loves it.

No matter what a person drives there will always be something better...... even for me with my mods and power on demand...

Thanks guys. I guess another aspect of this too is that I wonder in the back of my mind when people are giving me those stares and compliments, are THEY too wondering if it's a V8 or why isn't it a V8?

Or, are they just basically like.....cool...that's a hot looking ride!

It's sort of like growing up right, and it's like just starting to hit on chicks. Let's say you get chicks rejecting you calling you names right, other people to comfort you might say, "Oh well, she's not worth it anyway." Or, "Just be yourself." Etc. They usually will not tell you any TRUTHS such as, "Well, dude, if you lost some weight, wore some better clothes, got some confident and stop approaching chicks like a dork, you would have a better chance."

So with that being said I just want to know from you guys......with 100% HONESTY....does a guy driving a V6 Camaro really make him seem like a punk, or a bytch, etc.? And if I'm a GUY, I should be driving a V8 Camaro?

Just be honest, I just want to know the truth.

My car doesn't make me who I am, neither does yours. This is a place where we all share our love of the Camaro. We don't make friends based on engine size or option packages. Don't care how bad ass your car is, someone's got a better one. But that shouldn't bother you. Go enjoy your car.

The best advice I can give you is to quit worrying what others think. How often do you see most of these people? The girl I'm assuming is a girlfriend, but if she didn't save up and buy the car for you then who cares? It is what you like. If you spend your life trying to make everyone like you then you're going to end up miserable your entire life.
