2013 ZL1 Rear Alignment

I need some advice.

Back in February I heard a grinding noise coming from passenger rear end. Dealership had to replace rear end. It has been 9k miles since then and 15k since brand new OE tires.
3 week back I got my tires balanced and noticed the rear passenger tire is worn more then all the rest.
I noticed this week that it got worse and I have cables showing in the middle of the tire.
My buddies tell me that they should have done a rear alignment and that my camber may be bad.

I went back to dealership that did the rear end swap and they said their is no alignment adjustments on Camaros and that it is normal ware and tare.
My buddies call BS so I take it to another dealership roughly 100 miles away from first and they tell me there is no adjustments on Camaros that they have independent suspensions.

I have read a few posts on here about alignments and it seems to me that these dealerships maybe full of BS.

Any help or guidance would be appreciated.

I'm not sure if they have adjustments on the rear or not, but IMO, excessive wear in the center of the tread would not be caused by to much or to little camber. Camber problems would show outer or inner edge tread wear. Tire spin will give you center wear tho...lol

a 5th Gen has camber and toe adjustment from the factory front and rear.

As for your tire wear, please post pictures.

Damn, I wish I had taken pics of my tire wear I just went through. Anyway, left rear was worn to the cords at 15K. So happy I already had new ones in had waiting to be installed.

If it is the center of the tire, it is the result of over-inflation. How many pounds are you running cold?

Find a new Chevy dealer or quality alignment shop and get an alignment.

I had BMR Toe Rod links in mine and for some reason it would not hold an alignment, shredded the inside of my tires. Come to find out the bushings in the links distorted and you could move the toe 1 degree both ways by hand. Put the stock one back in and now its perfect. But yes, plenty to adjust in the rear when doing an alignment.

[IMG]https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160624/I recently went to get a track alignment per recommendation from GM at an independent shop. When they took the number my before alignment (as came stock) was already with settings that were of i.e. ( some setting were already at track settings and others not. The after was of course after so I wouldn't trust the dealership and go get the numbers from an alignment shop and be able to show them they are wrong.
