They're nice to have, but as said, the positioning is awful. If I had the motivation to do so I'd take that panel out, and make some sort of custom panel where the radio is.
But I don't, so I won't

Anyone who drives a ZL1 and is looking at the boost gage while under hard boost is crazy.....
No way would I be looking down while WOT in my ZL1. I use Dashlogic to put the boost reading up in the HUD.

I check gauges before I move the vehicle or when stopped and running. Either in the morning after a cold start, at every stop light, and just before I shut it off. I like to see that things are where they should be. If I needed to monitor something while driving (boost, AFR, Fuel Pressure, etc), I'd get the info up into my pillar or dash area.

I agree with this 100 percent, I like the guage pack and it gives the car a different look than all the other cars on the road, but it's very beneficial having boost and afr in the hud with dashlogic

Here is pic of underside (borrowed from forum) 5 white clips shown in right half of this pic, sixth clip is missing), the two horizontal pins are on far left running off the picture. ================================================== ===================== ================================================== ===================== And here is a video from Phastek that shows the connectors: Here is one that shows steps in detail and complete disassembly once out of car. The replacement piece sliver trim with the coin tray you probably could get for free from someone that took that out to install the gauge pack. Ron

I have friend who was looking for a 5th Gen last year and he asked me for advice. I told him to get a '12 because they had a lot of improvements over the '10s and '11s and no My Link. He wanted to know what the problem with My Link was and I told him that there was no CD player and it blocks your gauges. He took my advice and bought a '12. He, in turn, talked one of his buddies into a 5th Gen. His buddy bought a new '15 2SS w/My Link. The last time I talked to him he told that he'd gotten the opportunity to drive the '15 and he was so glad he'd talked to me and bought a '12, because he couldn't see the gauges in the '15. Quote:
