I thought the 350 miles from Lansing, MI to Oshawa would have helped me get mine first. Now I see people's cars from the following week being shipped by train right through my state.

Mines stuck in Champaign Illinois, been there since 4am this morning. The rail car was making good progress yesterday now it looks like it has stalled. From reading some other posts, it looks like the train heads to Salem IL next and then a couple of stops in AR and LA before entering Texas. I think RedRaider's car will get dropped in Mesquite while mine will have to move on to Arlington since I bought from Classic.

The good news is I went and signed all the paperwork yesterday so when it does finally get here, I will be in an out and off racking up the miles.

If you started on CSX you can continue to call them for updates even after another carrier picks it up. Mine transferred to UP in Salem and I called CSX all the way to delivery.

You got sales agreement and finance papers signed before the car was at the dealer?

Yeah...I did that too last Friday. So long as they have a VIN and an invoice you are good to go. My first payment is due 10-19-09.

Yep, once the car has a VIN and has been invoiced, the dealer has all the info they need to get the paperwork done. Once I show up, I'll inspect the car and go to the finance office to get my copies of the papers and hand them the keys to my trade, that's it.

With my work schedule unpredictable, it made sense for me to go in and get as much done as possible that way, if the car comes in and I have to pick it up at night or on the weekend, I won't have to find a baby sitter for my kids since my wife can bring them with her (she won't let me get the car without her

) If you have kids, you'll understand cause the last time I took mine to the dealer, they ran ape shit around the place and I figured by the time I was done, they were going to damage every vehicle in the showroom!

Rail Car made it to Salem, IL and has been switched to Union Pacific now. I know you can continue to track using CSX's number however, it appears the UP number gives you a bit more information. UP says my rail car will be in Arlington, TX on 9/15 at 1:44pm. I just hope it doesn't sit there for a week waiting to go to the dealer.

I called the UP number and mine left Valley Junction, Ill which is not a city. Must be a UP location anyway it is moving again. Hopefully it keeps on truckin till it gets to KC to be put on a truck.

Mine left Detriot this morning bound for Ohio. guess that 4-8 days at the border didnt happen with mine. But it did take that long to get out of canada.
