Like others have said, wait for the SS if that's what you want. I settled for the 6 for a year and just traded it in for a 2SS a week ago. I learned my lesson and paid the price. Get what you want from the beginning, don't settle or you will regret it.
The 2ls has a 2.73 gear ratio, auto 6's don't have an lsd and the paddles on the 2ls don't work the same as they do in an lt or ss. For that price you could get a 2lt with the updated lfx engine also. It sounds like you've been saving for a while, just a little more patience Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk |

I agree with the majority here, and say you should be patient and get what you want. It took me almost as long as you to finally find the exact Camaro I was looking for. It has been worth the wait!

Patience my friend, I had my 2011 2LT for 5 years, and I enjoyed every sec of driving it. But I couldn't tell you how happy I was when I traded it for a 1LE. Night and day.

If you are set on an SS, but settle on a 6 cylinder you will probably beat yourself up once the new (to you) car feeling wears off. With the new 6th gen camaro introduced this year, you can expect to see the used 5th gen market really come to life and there are many good deals to be had on lightly used trade-ins. I scored a great deal on my car simply by waiting a year and saving probably 10G from what i would have paid had i jumped the gun a year earlier.... my $0.02

I got my 1LS brand new for that price.
Minus 1500 for GM credit If you're getting a used car, get an SS. |

Wayyyyyy overpriced! Get the newest car you can afford, (V6 or V8, less than 3 years old and under 20,000 miles), which will get you the remainder of the factory warranty and peace of mind

I found an example of a good deal (IMHO) especially if the mileage is true. But like you, I don't live in the city where it is/I haven't seen the carfax etc...it's just that they're out there

I'm just one state south of you and I'm seeing plenty of '10 SS cars for $17-20k in the 50-60k mileage range. Hang in there and get the V8.

Wait for a 2SS/RS. I love my 2011 that I ordered from GM just the way I wanted it.
