I dunno, maybe its just me but, while it looks "ok", it seems, at least to me that they made it "normal" size but left it out in the sun too long and it sorta melted and drooped around the edges. Similar to the old Saab 900's.

Instead of going to a retro inspired 2nd gen F-body design theme, which would've been another smash hit like the 1st gen inspired 5th gen was, GM went to Ford and borrowed from the early Maverick for the 6th gen. So, for the new 6th gen, we get a warmed over 5th gen with Ford Maverick styling details.

Do you not see any similarities between the rear side window shape and overall dashboard design? The rear side window has pretty much the same shape except it's more squished down on the 6th gen. Even the dashboard is kind of similar with those rounded ends in the corners.

I personally can't see getting rid of my 5th gen for a 6th gen for multiple reasons.
1. its paid off 2. Hyber blue is nice but ABM is so much nicer 3. Got way to much into my 5th to get any kind of reasonable return Now on the other hand, maybe adding a 6th gen down the road might be an option
