Colorado performance shops
Been looking at getting my tt camaro tuned, so why is it almost all the performance shops around colorado do not respond to emails? Do they just not like business, to me if they can't respond to an email I'm not going trust them with my car, sorry for the little rant, but on the other hand every time I have emailed dynosteve he has responded so thank you dynosteve

I would love to find one local, but it looks like it's either Utah or Wyoming that's going to get my business... leaning towards Utah.

Jdp in slc utah took a week to respond but atleast they did respond, I'm thinking of getting a remote tune from dynosteve and then learn how to tune some with hp tuner so I can fine tune it, I heard there is a good shop in Wyoming as well

That car was shipped to Dedicated Motorsport where he works. You'll have to go to him/send your car to Austin TX for him to tune it. My car is there now for clutch work and a tune.

both the shops in Wyoming and Utah are great places. Jordan from JDP is a really down to earth guy and is straight up.. Brian at Wyospeed is awesome too. Had my stuff done at Wyospeed just because it was A LOT closer lol. But really can't say enough good things about the Wyospeed guys. I gave them a budget and a list of things, went over the budget but made it right. AWESOME custom service.
On the other hand, many of the top shops are hard to get ahold of for a reason, their busy. Crazy busy this time of year.

Hey, if all else fails, go the remote tune route. Matt got my car perfect on the street. I scheduled some local dyno time, around Matt's schedule and my own. I took the car into the dyno shop, they strapped it down, and I emailed the logs back and forth to Matt from Toledo, Ohio, to Bradenton Florida. He had it almost perfect by the time we got to the dyno, ended up using less than an hours time. It can be done if the tuner is capable and the circumstances permit.

I know squat about 5th gen tuning and even less about Colorado. However, the automotive business is very similar to the construction business i am in, a good old fashion phone call usually produces better results than an email.
I'm in the same boat. I prefer email and its easier for me to respond back and forth, especially while i am at work. Put yourself in the position of a busy, grease covered shop owner. Would you want to be checking email in your office or picking up the shop phone? Alternatively maybe your right and they could just suck haha. Good luck ! |
