Clunk noise when I put it in park - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Hello everyone, just asking your opinions on what this could be. The other night I came home from work, pulled in the garage and put my car in park. Right when I put it in park I heard a loud clunk so loud that I looked up at the sunroof seeing if my ceiling fell on my car. Since then it has only made a weird noise once when I put it in park but it was not a loud noise like the first time. It does not do it every time I put it in park.

Any thoughts??

When was the transmission last flushed and refilled with new fluid? Might need normal servicing.

I have had mine make a loud noise as well after parking a few times but don't what causes it. Only been a few times for me

mine does it as well here and there. Whats the maintence timeframe on tranny fluid?

A worn universal joint can make a pretty significant "clunk," but generally not loud enough to make one think that the ceiling has fallen in. Loose or missing transmission or motor mounts could also be suspects.

Hi to everyone , i have been having Issue with my Car for some time now aand whenever i m shifting to Rear Gear and 1st i can hear a big ``Clunk``. After diagnostic , it turned up that the Universal joint needs to be replaced. However , it is impossible for me to source the Right Number (Agency here doesn't sell this part only , complete Rear Axle $$)
Does anyone can tell me what will be the right serie to purchase :
1310 series or 1330 series
