separated trans cooler line
Haven't been on the forum for quite some time.
Just brought the car out of hibernation a couple of days ago. I was driving home from work and felt like punching it, when suddenly a HUGE cloud of white smoke started pouring out the back of the car. Shut it off immediately and coasted to a stop, thought I had blown the motor or something!!! Popped the hood and the whole engine bay is coated in trans oil. A few seconds of searching, saw the factory fitting for the auto trans cooling line had separated where the flexible line connects to the steel line. FFS!! What a way to end the day.I guess I'm lucky (or not) that the oil didn't ignite, because it would have burnt to the ground. I'm curious as to what this is going to cost me, warranty is up I guess..... She's got 37000 km on the odometer. ![]() Gonna have a beer now.......

Sorry to hear about the line breaking, but glad you knew enought to shut it off.
I don't think it will cost too much and give the engine bay and underside of the car a good cleaning.
