Does CAI Intake need WW relocation?

Hi there!

Brand new to the forum, but a long time lurker. I have learned a ton from the website and I am stoked to be a member of the Camaro community!

I am about to make a jump and purchase a CAI Intake, however, can I install this without a WW relocation kit? Is there a way to simply remove it?

I want to make sure I have everything I need before I buy and install. Sorry if this was asked before, I am having trouble finding solid answers.

Hey Sanjay, thanks for the response!
No, it doesn't need it? Just clarifying. Thanks!

Eh, that's no problem. It's not a necessary component for me. I will eventually look into a WW kit, but I am just excited to put the intake in without having to spend more money right now..ha!

I have heard that. I am excited. I think I am going to add MRT V2 as well in the next couple of weeks. I am hoping that will get the car screaming.

Sanjay, I agree that it is a little too much. I haven't been able to find any other options that compare to the sound though. From what I have seen, it is the best sounding option when paired with a good intake.

Hm, I have heard of this setup but hadn't paid it much mind. How is the drone compared to the MRT's?

When the stock mufflers are removed, is it replaced with straight piping..? Would I need exhaust tips as well?

I am starting to really like that setup..especially for the price. It has a really good sound. What all would I need to buy? I assume just the Magnaflow resonated x-pipe, and let the shop add the straight piping and tips on?

I think I may try this route. From the videos I have seen, it has a clean and deep exhaust note. That price is excellent, compared to the $550 I was looking at dropping on MRT's.
I will just need to find a shop though since I moved to TN about three days ago. Ha!

I see you picked up an ST1. You still have a Camaro or are you modding the focus?

I have the mrtv2 and rotafab intake . Easy Bolton and quality and sound is awesome. Rotafab has the biggest surface area filter setup of any intake for our cars and makes same power as a cai but about a hundred bucks less
