I do use the extra power quite often and I also use the 4wd in my truck also. Either way people buy what they need and use. If you have a V6 dont judge those who chose the V8 and if you have a V8 dont judge those who chose to own a V6.

V6 owners ->

I like how the factory V8 turns itself into a V6 or 4 banger when it feel like it.

I've had pickups since 1999, and my "car" before that was a 1979 GMC Caballero (El Camino) which eventually got the 305 swapped out with a 400 small block 2.02 heads, LT Headers, cam, 400TH trans, F41 suspension, etc.. I drove that thing nearly 20 years (too busy flying and working on acrobatic airplanes to fool with cars much). My 2014 2SS L99, purchased used last December, is my second Camaro. My first was a 1974 Z28 4 speed, in 1976. It was a turd compared to this C5

Not everybody has crazy $ , not every body craves 400ft torque. I do, but my situation was different. Point is buy what your bank allows right now lol cause if we all had $ we wouldnt have ss or 1le we'd go zl1. Some need it for ego some just love speed. Enjoy it v6 or V8 mfs still gone hate

I've only had people ask if it's a v8, not why I didn't get one. I do have a good answer though.
My budget was for a used vehicle, and I was looking for a 4X4 or the right car (a vehicle I could have fun in.) It just so happened I saw the car I have now. I could afford it. And for some reason I couldn't find any Camaro for sale at the time.

A Camaro is always the right car, and a V6 is better than no car.

Now if I happen to come upon some money, or get a higher paying job, or even pay off this car and save up some more money, yes I would choose the V8 over the 6, or god forbid, the 4.

Seems to me like many of the newly purchased SS Camaros are by 30+ guys and a good number of those guys are 50+.

I decided I could afford a new car, and wanted something with a V8/RWD combo

I don't much care for Mustangs and definitely don't like Chargers/Challengers so here I am

What especially ruled out the Charger/Challenger was the years I could afford them they had a freaking Caravan interior shoved in them so I didn't think twice about it. I drove a 5.0 and it was alright. Drove an LS3 and did a burnout on the test drive.

So naturally I fell in love lol
