Can you substitute 245 35/21for 245 40 /21 tire size...Just need some tires for my 21 looking for cheaper options.

The 245/40/21's are about an inch taller than the 35's. The 35's will be a much lower profile with a 1/2" less sidewall.

The 35's are close to the stock height of the Zl1 20" front tire size, so you should be fine
