SPOILER REMOVAL

I received a z28 spoiler and just wondered if it is necessary to use a heat gun/hairdryer to remove the stock spoiler on a 2014 Camaro SS?

Just let the car out in the sun for a few hours before removing it should be fine.

Be prepared to see the messed up paint or lack thereof once you take it off

there is a white clip off center to the passenger side (if I remember correctly) that once you get all the nuts off, it will still be held on by that body clip. You'll have to pinch it, in order to get it out. Kind like a door panel clip. Not sure what their technical name is, but you should get the idea.

Just unbolt (6) and remove it, it pops right off. Though I advise you to do it in front of your service dealer you've already established a relationship with so they don't accuse you of the damage you are going to find. That is, if you want them to repaint your trunk lid.
