Question Hash Marks

I'm thinking of adding the grand sport style hash marks to my Z28
Not sure if I should do carbon fiber to match the heat extractor, or gloss black to match the ground effects and the spoiler.
I appreciate any input from the group and would love pics if anyone else has done them!
Thx
Rob

Personally I'm a fan of the 07 Ron Fellows hash mark. It's unique and rich w color plus fitting in white. It has to be trimmed and can be found for $50-$60.

They do look great!
Not sure about the Ron Fellows and the lettering...I will google them.
Funny, is I never realized you can do either direction
I feel like my white Z needs some accent, but nothing too over the top.
I purchased the thin black gill stripes for the rear quarters, but haven't installed them, and started thinking about the hash marks

Traditionally, they go forward. You can do whatever, I guess.

Corvette purists go bananas when they see hash marks on non vettes. I don't care either way.
Hash marks come from the original Corvette Grand Sports of which only a handful were made and they went toe to toe with Shelby. They used the hash marks to identify which car was coming around the track. I think they used duct tape.

Funny about the hash mark direction. In the original Z picture I inverted the passenger side and installed on the drivers side. I have since put the "Ron Fellows" drivers side (forward facing) on the car but didn't have a good picture. ....wondered if someone would catch that. You can hardly see the lettering unless your within 5' of the car.

I did not know the history of the hash mark, but now that I do, I will probably not put them on my Z28. Maybe I will simply do the gill stripes.

I have to admit the new '17 Grand Sport Corvette is VERY Tempting
I read the Road and Track and the Car and Driver articles, and I'm a little bit intrigued bu the thought of a track focused NA Corvette!
