Finally had time today to finish up some outstanding items on my head unit installation.
1. Install backup camera - didn't work, need to return it.
2. Install radio antenna adapter that I forgot to buy - Got the wrong one, need to return it.
3. Update Scosche firmware to try and fix the key FOB range issue - Didn't update, but bricked it so now it won't power up. Bought it used so I'm screwed.

So now i have no stereo or a/c controls until I spend $300 on another Scosche kit that may or may not work. Not a good day, but if these are the worst of my problems I'm not doing too bad.

Did another round of bleeding on the brake system. A wash / wax next weekend, and I'm ready for my VIR trip.

Looking at doing this myself. For the cost of the tape, any reduction is a good reduction.

You might want to consider taping the engine-facing side of the air box itself as well.

Whatever this stuff is, it definitely works. I held a heat gun on it for 3 or 4 minutes and couldn't feel a thing on the other side. I started out trying to avoid wrinkles, but it soon became apparent that it was a hopeless cause with the Airaid tube. Too big and too many curves. Plus I had a few White Russians under the belt, I am sure contributed.

I have several feet left over so I think I will do the box like you suggest.

So my suspension upgrade will include all this stuff:

BMR End Links:

BMR Mounting Braces:

And the Hotchkis Track Pack with the MaxBrace, Sway Bars, Springs and bushings, but surprisingly lacks the end-links.

Should handle the back-road curves a lot better after all that... I hope.

Ordered all this from Maryland Speed. They really do have fast shipping and very good service.

Dude man... you're going to love it! Gonna be whipping and carving through those hills soon enough.

Interesting that they didn't offer the complete set (STAGE 3) though. This includes the endlinks and strut bar.

I pieced mine together but ended up with all of the above except the strut bar (as mentioned, went with BMR). I am very happy with the results.

Through the windshield. In TN we always drive with one wrist on the wheel.

Plasti-dipped my fuel door. Just a trial to see if I like and then may order a defenderworx with SS in it.

Be careful if you get one with the lock on it. I plasti dipped my autobot fuel door with the lock and the lock stopped working but defenderworx sent out a replacement lock within 5 days of me calling them. I guess the plasti dip messed it up, just giving you a heads up.

Thanks for the heads up. If I get a defenderworx one, it will be black and I won't need to plasti dip it
