The Buick Club of America is holding its 50th Anniversary celebration here in Allentown. Today I got to take Ed Welburn, Jr.'s (the former GM head of global design and the "father" of our beloved C5 Camaro) wife and grandchildren around the show field. Afterwards I got to meet with him to view the one and only Buick Y-Job show car. He even posed for a few pics with me. I look like hell as its a thousand degrees out and I was sweating like crazy with the vest and gear on. What a great guy!!!! We talked about my car and his Z06 Corvette and his wife told me all about traveling through Italy. His grandkids were so sweet. I let them play in the police car and work the lights and siren. What a GREAT day!!!!

Sounds like a day to you will always remember, good times! Thanks for posting the 67. A little more history can be found below. It went through a total restoration.

There was very little inflation in this country up until the mid 70s, because Nixon took us off the gold standard in 1971. Notice the 18' Caddy price of $2800.00. And the 66' first build Camaro was just $2500.00. Almost a 50 year difference in build. Now from 66 go almost another 50 years and see how that $2500.00 went to $25000-$40k plus.
