GT350 owners aren't all bad...

Met a GT350 on the road today. We were on a crowded street so we couldn't do much, but we rolled down our windows and chatted for a minute. Cool dude. He told me how much he like the Z and I told him his car sounded great (which it did!).

The car looked great, but I don't understand the teeny, tiny cobra badge on the back nor the very vanilla (almost hard to spot) GT 350 emblem on the side of the car.

No way I'd ever trade my Z for one, but I wouldn't mind having one as a playmate for the Z. Interestingly I watched a vid the other day comparing the Boss 302 (non LS) to the GT 350. The reviewers stated that the same guy owned both and that he liked the Boss better. I had a Boss 302 LS and it was fantastic, but I can say that the Z is better in every way with the exception visibility and exhaust sound (both are great, but different..the Boss has exhaust outlets on the side, which might give it a slight edge).

Edit: The title to this thread was meant to be tongue in cheek. I dig all American performance cars and the majority of their owners are good guys and gals.

I met a GT350 owner at the track. Really friendly guy loved talking about cars. Car was gorgeous. He was afraid to drive it though.

I would be a 350R owner if I could have snagged one at MSRP. But absolutely no regrets w the Z!!!

It is a completely different kind of car compared to the Z28 even though they are in the same "class" just execution was done a lot differently.

I have driven a few and both the Z and the R have their benefits and drawbacks to them.

I think the coolest thing is that we can say we are around in a time when they are building cars like this.
