Congratulations to Cheryl, Scott, John, "camero" and everyone else on the team that was a part of this. I can't imagine how proud they must be.

What many of us have wanted for so long for, is a car with American style & attitude that also matched the quality, fit, and finish of the finely built but otherwise soulless appliances that come from overseas. This car looks to deliver exactly that. My own complaints about the car's portly weight are starting to seem less and less important.

The '10 Mustang refresh had better be a good one, because the current V6 Mustang looks to be an absolute embarassment next to the car we're seeing here, and that's not even considering the Caddy-sourced world class V6 compared to the antiquated work-truck engine in the Ford. And I fully expect the chassis & suspension differences to be just as glaring.

And this is just the teaser. All indications are that plenty more good surprises are yet to come once the V8 is unveiled.

I'll take my SS in emerald green with white stripes (one last wish). Hardtop, manual shift, and otherwise loaded to the gills with every option.

What may cause a problem for a few is that, what if you like the bumper in the front but you also want that slit on top? Will they have two versions of the "concept" bumper, one with the opening and one without?

...it may not be a big deal.

If this is the final interior (and real interior) -- is there going to be any difference between the base models and the SS?? Surely I would hope you would have more options or different interior in the higher models besides just leather seating areas.....................and I'm still not sure about the radio. It seems like almost an after-thought. BUT I WANT ONE NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

.....And we need a picture of the headlights in the dark!!

About the radio & interior in general, love or hate the styling but notice that virtually no part of that interior came from the parts bin. Just about every switch, dial, button and display was custom-done just for this car, which is unheard of at the expected price-point and also in glaring contrast with its two main competitors. The circular vents look familiar and the steering wheel controls look to be shared with the G8 (of course) but that's about it. Even the Corvette shares its steering wheel with the Cobalt/G5.

If I had to criticize something, it would be the shifter knob. I know, it's easily remedied. I wonder if the GTO knob would fit on there. Those knobs are sweet!!! See attached pic if you've never seen a GTO interior.
...what he said. That shifter is ugly, it's too thick in the, umm....shaft....and the....umm.......head. Uh huhuhuh hey Beavis he said "shaft" and "head". Great place for me to customize!

WTF? Different shift boot. Is it an option, or is one of these sets of pics wrong?

By "AC outlet", do you mean the HVAC vent, or a place to plug in a toaster?

I didn't see any panels next to HVAC vents, just the dial that opens or closes the vent.

I didn't see any 120VAC electrical outlets.

• Where is cruise control?
It's clearly visible on the left stalk in a couple pictures. For example, Autoblog picture 4 of 9.

• What is the box in the center-top of the dash? Is that a HUD or something else?
In Autoblog picture 5 it is clearly a grille, so either a speaker or a diffused HVAC vent like my VW has.

The six will come with an Aisin six-speed manual
Can anyone identify this transmission well enough to know the gear ratios?

What they are talking about is between the shifter and the 4 gauge cluster, even though it says 12V

Inside Line also has a video up. Fabulous absolutely fabulous. They are also saying rated at 420hp but underated and likely 425hp. Sweet Jesus!

http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do...cleId=129446#5

So this will run from March 2009-say august 2010 as a 2010 model/18months?

This car looks better and better every time I see it. If this is the V6, I can't wait to see the V8.

When does pricing come out?

THe wheel in 7 of 8 says SS on it at the bottom, maybe it is the auto, maybe it is the SS vs the RS, but those are guesses...The source on the pics says GM, so unless they are making that part up......

I'm impressed with what I see, but I'm not convinced. I'll wait to post my final thoughts on Monday.

That's a 12v DC outlet. The button next to it looks to me like a stability control button. That's a traditional place for that button on lots of cars, and the icon on it looks like a car with squiggly lines behind it to show skid tracks.

According to this video, the RS will be an available package for the SS. This video also makes it utterly clear to me that these are in fact pics of the production camaro. There is not a doubt in my mind now.
