Power vs. crank windows

I've always thought that it would be great to have windows with both powered AND crank- handled controls... I love the ease of power windows, but there are times when a crank would be handy, too... when the power is off, or if the battery is dead, or the fuse has blown... there are all kinds of situations when a crank handle would be really nice to have.

I'm just curious: Has this been done before? Are there any car/ truck models that offer this, or are there aftermarket kits one can modify a vehicle with?

If my car is off & I want to open the windows, I just turn the key a bit and lower them then shut everything back down. Still quicker and easier than cranking my window down then leaning over to the other side and cranking the other window down.

I've never had a fuse blow to prevent me from opening my windows and I've been stuck with a dead battery only twice (I don't recall wanting to either open or close the windows as I waited for a boost). How often are these things happening to you that you'd want a manual backup?

The hand mixer is too funny..I would only want hand roll down to save money. Hand cranking is actually annoying..father in law has a chevy wt when he pulls up and tries to talk through the passenger window is funny
