One of the best road courses in the country is only two hours away. Watkins Glen. I've done six track days there so far this year another two in a week and a half. If you're interested I can hook you up with the best groups to participate with.

Well yesterday was a great day for weather & car show. Went to Herkimer car show . Was held in the town park great turn out of vehicles. We didn't have to judge. It was a 100 point judging sheet. I was in the trucks modified class. They had some great trucks. I took my 92 low rider. Wound up taking 1st in my class. And a big surprise Best paint in the show. Walt took 2nd in factory production 1973 and up. This is all the good things from yesterday.
Now the other side of the story. We left the show and stopped to eat. The wife saw some water on the ground and just figured it was from the A/C so didn't saw anything. We left the diner and Walt signaled me to put in to the gas station said I was over heating. Looked down Temp. gauge was on 250 ouch. Lifted the hood antifreeze all over the place. Had chrome radiator hoses on and the ends rotted out.They only been on there around 20 years thought I would at least get my money out of them..LOL But we got another hose and fixed it got home OK Only took 4hrs. to go 60 miles back home.

all in all it was a good day. Busting my a$$ though trying to clean the antifreeze up.

Street only for now. Wife says no track time til it's paid off, and that will be a while. I would love to cruise around Watkins Glen. I'm sure they have HPDE up there.

My belt exploded about 2 miles away from my house and all hell broke loose on the dash lights. No warning or sound just every light and warning pop up... I had antifreeze all down the outside passenger side to. I think the reservoir overflow bottle cracked from the belt breakage.

Engine looks ok and sounded good when I put another belt on.
I just made it to the auto store at closing( literally locking the doors) and begged the lady to please sell me a new belt( thank god she did). I put the new one on and added some antifreeze. Still a bit low on anti freeze and need more. Car drove home good and motor seems normal
but puzzled why the anti freeze leaked from the belt exploding .Looks like its coming from the bottom of the reservoir overflow because its all in my front passenger side wheel well mostly.

I'm upgrading the pulleys and belt system to a 8-10 rib system. I don't want to deal with this again
