I just can't get excited about a SC'd track car.

I think a badge as iconic as "Z/28" deserves special treatment. If it does have the LT4, I think it would be hard to make it anything more than effectively an options package on the ZL1.

Unless they do some sort of stroking, my prediction is normally aspirated with new GMPP ported LT1 heads with a bump in compressssion and a little more aggressive camshaft, more open exhaust (factory LT headers)500+ish hp. Carbon hood roof and trunk, + same formula for dropping weight as the G5 .
Gen 5 430 Rwhp 3820 lb curb weight = 8.9 PWR
Gen 6 430 Rwhp 3300 lb curb weight = 7.6 PWR

Just my thoughts :-)

As much as I want to see a 6th gen Z/28, I don't want to see it go the way of the Z06.

I was thinking the Z/28 was going to be at the 50th but Cadillac announced a new concept car reveal on Thursday, so I doubt they will want anything to take away from the new concept.
