Interior SS badge ?

Saw this on autotrader, just to the right of the steering column is a badge.
Looks like it says "2010 Chevrolet Camaro SS/RS" and doesn't look aftermarket.
I haven't seen it on other camaros, was this oem maybe on early 2010s only?

That is where the HUD controls would go (dimmer, height).
I don't think any 2010s had HUD, but the landing pad was there for when they began putting them in the 2LT/2SS 2011+.

EmblemPros will inscribe any thing you like on those plates.

Provocative and Brutally Honest Question --

Why display and show off a brand when you are not paid for it? The truth is Auto Manufacturers put their brand, in this case the bow-tie Chevy emblem on many parts of a vehicle for advertising purposes. It's worse now than ever before. Back in the 70/80/90s we had maybe max 2 emblems. Would you put stickers all around your car that said Carrier (as in air conditioners)? I understand the loyalty some of us have to Chevy but always know the brand could care less about you. What they care about is your money and getting it in their pockets. Hummer is a good example. Personally, I hate any and all emblems. The first thing I do is de-badge, tear off or paint over.

Always remember you are driving a large moving bill board sign down the road advertising a huge greedy monopolistic company that does not care about you, but they love your money.

I love Camaros and Chevrolet does a decent job these days but I refuse to advertise for them.

Think about it.

You drive a Hummer and love Camaros...like nobody can tell what these rides are without the badges...good job in staying away from rolling ads

One of my favorite things to do is show a Mercedes the bowtie on the back of my Camaro.

My dad got on me once because I bought a Corona illuminated/motion/sound sign for behind my pseudo bar. He said, "You paid to advertise for them." I responded, "You are wearing a Cubs hat."

What ever happened to Calvin Klein underwear?

But the OP is talking about the small badge that fits in place where the HUD controls would be if equipped. I would hardly call that are a rolling billboard. Only the driver and passenger are going to see it.

I de-badged my Hummer many years ago. Only in-the-know auto enthusiasts know it's a Hummer, the other 90% of the public don't ... I will not advertise anything unless I'm being paid ... This is called being smart. I love the old Camaros of yester-year, especially the 80s. Today not so much but that could change in 2017. So stop advertising for an uber-rich conglomerate monopolistic company that Obama bailed out in 2009.

Americans deserve better!

Oh Geez! Here we go.... I see 13 plus pages in this threads future!
I think its great that you don't advertise for free but I'm not that worried about it. I have a few pair of Nike shoes that I wear but I don't go and rip off the swoosh. To each their own.

P.S. If you think that 90% of the public doesn't know you drive a Hummer because you removed the badges then I think you are mistaken.

I think that whether you have badges or not, people will either know/assume or ask. What do you say when they ask? You're forced into telling them the car name. If they don't ask, some people will assume it's a mustang or whatever car. No matter what, youre advertising for someone (whether they know its a camaro or assume its something else). If someone thinks the car is good looking, they will look into it or ask. It's impossible to avoid advertising for companies.
