Spoiler

There's a 2014 ZL1 spoiler for sale on cl. Will it bolt on to my 2013 deck lid (ss/1le)?

Thanks in advance!

Unless I'm mistaken, the trunk lid changed. So no.

Also, there is a company producing the Z/28 style wicker, and they have two different parts...one for 10-13, and one for 14+.

So I'm pretty sure it won't fit. At least not as a simply drop into the current holes.

I put one on mine. You'll have two holes under the third light in the fin you'll need to plug.

Easy fix.

- Remove the OEM POS fin
- Clean the entire area and place clear shipping tape, 2" wide, over both holes while keeping it tight.
- Remove all of the cover stuff on the inside of the decklid
- Use a two part epoxy ment for use on metal
- Fill in the two holes from the backside/inside of the decklid
- Look through the tape to make sure you've filled the holes completely.
- Once the epoxy strarts to firm up, lightly press down on the tape side to lower it just a little below the level of the sheetmetal.
- Allow to dry completely - Hour or so to be safe.
- Carefully remove tape
- Fill the lowered area almost to the top with touch up paint from the dealer to match your car.
- Let that dry for several min. Shouldn't be on there super thick. That would crack.
- Top off with clear touchup.

I was really happy how it turned out on mine so I didn't do anything more to it. I was planning on lightly sanding it and buffing it up.

I've yet to have one person look at it and notice what was done. Can't see it from inside either.

That's what I did to make it work. I also used some silicone sealer and put a good sized drop around each bolt hole before installing the new fin to keep it from leaking into the trunk.

I did this three years ago now and still no troubles.

When I get home I'll post a picture if you'd like.

Pic would be great. The guy is selling the lid and spoiler, but it's the wrong color. He is willing to seperate, my thought was to get the spoiler and paint it flat black.

The 10-13 deck lid is different than the 14-15 deck lid so no the spoiler won't fit. Now like stated above Kurt at Aero Sport Comcepts sells a fiberglass 14-15 Z/28 Style spoiler that will work on the 10-13 deck lids. ACS also sells one but it's almost 700 bucks. I have a DAR spoiler which Kurt sells and it's a nice piece.

Man. I'm sorry. I missed the part about it being on a 2014. No, it wont work. I bought a ZL1 fin from Ebay and had to get it repainted after a year or so because the clear started to peal off it was so thin.

I do apologize for getting your hopes up.
