Which skip shift to buy? Or are they all the same?
Seen a couple being advertised on here. Any recommendations or are they all the same?
I can't find an installation video either. I found the one for the 2010-2014. Is it the same thing? I'll need a lift for the car? |

They are all the same, as well as installation same as 5th gens.
I purchased mine from Gen5DIY here's a link http://www.gen5diy.com/Gen6-Skip-Shi..._description=1

I bought mine off of amazon. Jacked up the car to put the front wheels on ramps (I was worried about the ramp angle & the front splitter) On my back & in my garage I was able to install it. The top connector was a bitch to line up properly however due to limited clearance with the transmission & tunnel, but I got it in. Maybe a 20 minute job for me

Does skip shift affect your warranty?

I've also read you can simply replace it with the original if god forbid your transmission blows up or something like that and need to take it in and they'll be looking there.
Someone can correct me if i'm wrong, but the computer can't really tell if something else is in there, so it's not like tuning and flashing where it can keep track. Almost like replacing a lightbulb. |

This was the approach I used on my 4th gen and plan to do the same thing if I ever get a 6th gen. Less than $1.
