Just installed my Speed Engineering headers on jacks/jackstands with no issues. Great welds, merge spike, and no issues here. So well worth the money. Skulka for high flow cats Pypes make some slip fit ones that will work and just last week Autoanything.com had them for 114.00 each with the advertised discount.

Is anyone wrapping them or putting a coating on them to lower the heat?

I thought about it. Still havent had time to get mine in but I dont think Im going to wrap them. Id be curious the actual benefit and if it would actually reduce temps by a reasonable amount considering how far the intake is. Id imagine theyd only really help out during traffic/staging.

Looks pretty nice for the price, can't wait for your feedback on installation and the sound video.
It sucks to fork out $1,300 for a set of Kooks+Cats, and if the extra 900$ isn't worth it then this looks like a great option. |

Got mine in the mail today. The quality is unbeatable for the price. My only question and concern is that the car has 4 O2 sensors, yet the offroad connectors dont have any places to put them. Can anyone explain why there are only two O2 sensor slots on the headers, and no place for the other two?

They aren't used, so you will need to get it tuned - or you'll get a CEL.
Also a tune will get the most out the headers.

Got my stockers off tonight so tomorrow ill finish the job. But i will say this......not sure who or what kind of dam robot torqued my spark plugs down but HOLY SHIT!!!! Ive NEVER, EVER had that kind of difficulty removing spark plugs in my life! Not a chance in hell they were torqued to spec. That asshole mustve been hungover, still drunk or just an idiot when they assembled my engine...wow..Im talking like 80ft lb+. Un-fricken-believable! Seriously felt like removing lug nuts. Fortunately my heads and manifold threads survived the abuse. Well done GM
