Anyone in the Syracuse/Buffalo/Rochester know how to install the MGW short throw or has done it before?

Already talked to New Era about other work, they won't touch my Camaro because its not a V8 lol. I might need your help soon. Had the dealer look at my clutch, and fluid, they said everything is working perfect with no slipping. Had a fellow camaro owner suggest switching to the MGW to help the notchyness of the stock setup

oh wow. I didn't know they didn't do any v6 work. I guess they have their niche. Glad to hear it's not anything major. Let me know. I'll be around!

Funny you mention this - I literally just watched the entire how-to video on their website yesterday. I watch the video for the SS, but I'll imagine the V6 is very similar. Shouldn't be too hard. First question I'd be asking is how do you intend to put the car in the air? That will likely dictate the relative difficulty of the install.

What issues are you experience with your shifting again? I think we discussed before, but the Friday afternoon fog is pretty thick!

Its almost the exact same, however when you remove the shoulder bolts I think there are two springs on the v6 to assist with the left/right return. The V8 relies on the internal springs.

The shifting issues I have, I'll do bullets for friday's sake lol
-had a 2-3 grind (solved with the change to Royal Purple)
-After the RP I gained a really notchy 1-2 shift
-Clutch engagement zone is extremely high and small on the peddle throw (1/4"-1/2")

That's right - we discussed our polar opposite clutches.

It's really weird that 1-2 got notchy AFTER RP - you'd expect it would help with that.

Unfortuantely, I don't see how an MGW is going to help with the clutch issue - that seems like something is just way off there. They had this car apart and put a motor in it - I'm not sure what they could have done but was it different since then? Was it like this from day one?

If these cars used an external slave I'd guess that may have been the clutch fork, but with an internal slave there really isn't much to get wrong there, and it's hard to believe it would be something in the pedal assembly.

A lift is a good, good thing to have access to!

I might shoot out there. Wife has some plans for the evenings so the little guy and I are free agents! If you're coming up for sure we could connect someplace west of Sylvan Beach and cruise in together.
