header install and tuning

I think I'm looking to pull the trigger on headers & a tune for my SS. I've already done intake/borla atak cat back/ and F14's with some good rubber.

Anyone around the NY area know where I can swing a competent tuner and installer for some headers? I wouldn't mind say taking a ride out of state if I could find someone cheaper or reputable that won't charge and arm and a leg like they will on long island.

Any feedback appreciated.

The options are limitless, plenty of tuners out there have the ability to remote tune your car. If their good, and most are, they will have it almost perfect, without getting on a dyno.

Matt @ FSP does an awesome job
Phil @ Tampa Tuning
Steve Williams @ tunedbyfrost
Don @ Slowhawk
Ted @ JRE

I would recommend any of those guys in a second.

If you feel like a drive Twisted Synergy in Albany does awesome work. Also, do the headers yourself. It's an easy job.

Thanks for the feedback, I will look into both.

As for header install, while I could probably do it I don't have a reliable place to do it which is why I really need to find a shop for it. I don't even have a garage where I am, I got lucky I had a buddy who lent me a shop & lift when I did my exhaust.

You can do it with ramps and a jack in your driveway.

Check out Jerry over at Ideal Garage in NJ. Very reasonable pricing and does great work. He's on the forums, name is IdealG.
