Top mount TT kit Vs. lower TT kit

Which kit will spool fast and keep the boost between shifts ?

I have now AGP tt kit with 56/61 BW on my 2012 Camaro ss M/T , they spool at 5000 rpm and I have lag between shifts ... Is the top mount kit will be better ?

top or bottom will make no difference.

Sounds like there is a problem with your install, not with the design.

After you find and correct your issue with your system I would install something like this to help you with boost in between shifts http://www.npcompleteperformance.com/wotbox

Bottom mount spools faster in my experience. You have something wrong that you need to fix.

Turbo size and A/R on housings, along with downpipe size/etc have big effects on lag, but those turbos should be fully spooled and going crazy by ~3k, not 5k. Even the biggest turbos they offer are not that laggy.

Huge boost leak, didn't put the wastegate fire rings in, boost controller plumbed wrong, etc.

Something wrong with your install. Should be spooled even on a stock engine before 4000. After you fix that if it's still not fast enough then you can go smaller turbos and/or ballbearing turbos. The turbo you have now are 1100+whp turbos and might just be too big for you.

Seems like the waste gates are starting to open too early then so it's slowly sliding up to full boost. More spring in the gates and/or change the boost control set-up.

Mine makes right around the same power and is at full boost by 32-3600 rpm.

I have the same setup. They can start to spool 2,500rpm and climb rapidly with the right spring pressure set for the wastegates on the weakazz boost controller I have. If I'm at 3,500rpm and punch it they quickly hit fully boost. Sumthin' ain't right with your setup.

The way you claim it spools, clearly there are issues.

Get it fixed and it will transform the car.

Technically, both top and bottom mount (depending on manufacturer) will spool very similar. We use V-band inlet Precision units that are only a few inches from the collector, and our system utilizes a 4 into 1 header design which has instant response.

Either way, the turbo size/ar/etc are going to have much much much larger effects. Difference between top and bottom is probably not noticeable.

This guy has an issue, he needs to fix it.
