Changed the oil with my 12 year old son. Mobil 1 oil and filter, $5 a quart at Walmart. Also showed him how to check fluids and tire pressure. Then had him check mom's car and put air in her tires. Since I didn't grow up with my dad I really appreciate the father/son bonding time.

My Dad wasn't a real car guy, but he could fix them when he had to.
Lots of little things remind me of him because he taught me.
Things like tying a fishing knot, changing plugs or a starter or alternator or drum brakes.
He'll remember these thing long after you are gone..

Drove it in the tain to the local shooting range, capped off a few hundred rounds and drove back home. It was the only time I got her out this weekend.

We then spent the afternoon with me teaching him how to play Madden and him trying to teach me how to play Call of Duty. Good times!

Nice! The world needs more of this. We put my son to work on my brothers car last yr. he also likes to work on his power wheels
