Question Any 200 shot plus nitrous users here?

Have any of you guys here sprayed 200+? If so did you use a progressive controller and how did you like it? I'm looking at going with a 200 shot next year with a standalone and a progressive controller. Haven't seen much talk around here on people going over 150. I also have forged pistons and rods too. Also 1/4 times would be cool to see too. Just want to know what to expect.

I spray a 100 shot and have a stand alone and progressive controller. both work good. I would not go to a 200 shot with 4 bolt heads or you stand a good chance on lifting the heads. have gone 9.64@142.31mph.

That's fast! I have Zl1 head gaskets and I have an SS with just heads and a cam. It still won't be able to handle a 200-250 shot? I also have milled heads

if you have an SS you have high compression and with milled heads even higher. you would need head studs and not head bolts. even then you still have a good chance of lifting a head. head gaskets won`t save you the heads need 6 bolt heads. you might get away with it for a while but it will bite you in the ass. if you lower your compression you could. but when not on NOS you would lose power.

my compression is 10.74:1 about the same as stock. What do you think of that?

I'll try it and see what happens. I think as long a I keep detonation to a minimum it should be okay. I know detonation can lift the heads. I'll start off with the basic 2 degrees for every 50 shot.

But aren't you supercharged +100 shot of no2?

It sounds like he just wants a 200 shot only with no other power adder which I would start out with a 100 shot and work up to 150 shot that will be fine it tuned right, not sure I would go to a 200 shot as n20 seems to be harder on things than other power adders, my 02.

I would not be scared at all to spray 200 on a sbe. as far as needing 6 bolt heads that's a load of crap. it's all in the tune!!!

Standalone with 112 progressive controller head studs ls9 head gaskets NGK br7 plugs and a good tune.

If going for a big shot I would get a direct injection set up so you know it's going to each cylinder evenly.

I have forged rods and pistons and stock crank. My main concern would be my stock driveline. I actually thought about trying 250 at some point after I get the 200 shot dialed in. I'll be using an lnc2000 and a wideband gauge. I'm also using the nos mini progressive controller

I have the 7 layer gaskets installed and I'm running a direct port from nx as well

Yeah wouldn't be worried at all on the motor. I spray 100 shot on top of 18 psi of boost. Stock ls3 has been handling a whooping since day 1. I have arp head bolts thats it. I do believe your driveline would snap something. But really matters if its auto or standard how long it will last and what will break first
