That's my son's car. I'm the black Camaro V6 ahead of him. he was trying like heck to keep up which surprisingly he was. I am trying to talk him into getting his car back up to par for auto-x. He drove my new 2016 yesterday, and was thoroughly impressed.

Gingerman Raceway, 27Jul2016 SCCA Track Night In America event:

Run 1 -

Run 3 -

The video from the second run didn't record; either my camera had a moment and decided to go back into charge mode, or my phone app wasn't behaving. The third run got cut short by an empty fuel tank.

These tires have seen better days so the times aren't spectacular or anything, but the car performed well considering the temperature (85-87F ambient air temp).

The biggest bummer about those Track Night in America events is that by the third session, the sun is getting pretty low in the sky. Last week, I was having a really hard time seeing the braking zone markers.

Great video!

Auto Club Speedway Purple 2nd Session Aug 13, 2016

Fastest time of the day for me 2:02. It was hot 100 degree day. If it was a bit cooler it would been at least 2:00 time. That is my goal is to be at the 2:00 time. Just did not happen. Plenty of drivers had the same feeling with the slick conditions. All the groups were running behind due to mechanical breakdowns on the track. Putting fluids on the track. Some lost it as you go thru my videos I am posting. Read the comments to speed up thru the boring parts.

VIR - Aug 19 TrackDaze Open Session

A new personal best of 2:15.10, nearly 2 full seconds off my previous best of 2:17. New mods this time include more horsepower with an engine tune, Kooks longtube headers and high flow exhaust, stiffer sway bars and bushing inserts.

I think the biggest difference was that I finally got some cajones and attacked the uphill esses like you should instead of babysitting it through there. I hit them at around 120 mph and took the last right-hander at around 110 mph or so.

Nice driving... I missed you by a day :(

I need to get back to this track next year... a couple spots I just never really got comfortable with, but I had an absolute blast here.

What parts were you uncomfortable with?

Here are a few videos from Summit Point last Friday, Sept. 9th. It was their Friday At The Track HPDE program.

And as a bonus, my wife in her Abarth at the same event.
