Hi guys, I have a problem hoping I can source out to the community for some answers.

I bought a Driver Side side-view mirror from Go-Parts for my 2013 Camaro 2LT Coupe.

Go-Parts tells me it is auto dimming but the installer here in my city is saying it's not.

Is there a way I can tell it is or is not auto dimming possibly by looking at the electrical socket or some other method without installing it first? The part is OEM.

Hoping someone can help me out.

I don't know, but when I had a new driver side view mirror installed at the dealership due to a short and not defrosting correctly, they replaced mine and now I see it turn blue at night when lights shine upon it. The passenger side does not do it though.

Does it have a small window, different color, section in it about the size of a pencil eraser?

just plug it in without actually installing it and shine a light on it.

That's what I thought as well prior to them changing out my drivers side. The passenger side defrosts just fine, just doesn't turn blue at night when lights shine upon it. Can you check and verify the next time you are driving at night?
