How can some SS' get 15mpg and others get 24mph. This doesn't make sense!

Driving style. Although I will say this. I reset the MPG calculator and tried to be as light footed as possible while driving to and from work. With my 2011 2SS, got 15.3 MPG at best, about the same as when I first got my car used in 2013 and was initially more careful with it. After a week of that, went back to slamming on the throttle and now I get 14.7 MPG. Maybe I need a tune or the previous owner turned off the cylinder deactivation.

No, it does. As was said, driving style is part of it. Also how much the car is driven. Mine, for example is a daily driver/only driver. I also don't do a lot of highway commuting. On the positive side, my commute is typically off of rush hour, so that helps. But I still get caught in a lot of stop and go, with long lights. So I get a little over 16 overall. My car is stock other than CAI. Also, I don't lay into that much, for the most part just normal sane driving.

Those that only drive car on weekends or have more highway commuting may experience higher avg mpg. They don't deal with as much stop and go and heavy traffic etc.

Because the SS doesn't get 24 mpg unless your driving at 60 mph, Straight
and level, with cruise control set and a good tailwind. Exaggerations rule
here on camaro5 re mpg. Normal interstate driving 21-22 MAX !

21.5 average in a 1LE
because I have 100 miles of highway and 5 miles of city every day
and my foot is very heavu

15 mpg, heavy traffic, can take me 90 mins t0 120 mins to travel 32 miles.

Haha no Manuel trans, fortunately it's just a weekend car but traffic in NYC is terrible manual or automatic

I never had a Camaro with a manual but did have a Viper. With the Viper I could leave it in 3rd gear in traffic. Also if I was just cruising I learned how to upshift without using the clutch.
