It's true, I was told the same thing when I visited the Ren Cen last month.

I also heard the 7th gen Camaro will be a hybrid running on unicorn farts and water.

I didn't buy it either. Just curious if anyone else had heard the same thing.

With all the negativity regarding GM's paint quality, what do you think about this?

Kinda hard to tell with the flake but looks good to me. Besides, I don't look at my paint. I'm too busy looking for cops haha.

They did a good job on the paint. Re: cops...I understand.

Very interesting how the Z/28 prototypes fell off the face of the earth. It's been almost 5 months since we've last seen them.

I'd guess their wanting to have the attention focused on the ZL1 & 1LE.

Also possible they are simply hiding in plane sight. Orrrrrrr delayed? Lots of ZR1 shots, though so plenty going on.

I'm guessing spring will hold great surprises being revealed.

Any chance they might have moved to desert testing over the summer ... to really stress a heat-sensitive powertrain?

I can hardly think of a better way to keep photographers away than being in a remote desert location in the middle of July. Personally, I'd much rather be in Kapuskasing in January. Only gets to a couple dozen degrees below 0 (celcius) from what I hear. As opposed to nearing the 'keep warm' setting for an oven ...

At least when it gets cold I can put on more clothes. When it gets warm, I quickly reach the limit of dignity (and decency)

I'm hoping they are running them with ZL1 bodies. They managed to test the previous Z/28s without getting noticed.

I heard a rumor on the Corvette Forums that the "Z/28" was put on hold due to slow sales and there was a decision to be made on "C7 ZR1" or "Z/28" but this rumor has as much credibility at being real as Santa Clause. Wait, that may have been a poor example...

I wouldn't be too surprised if they are going to reveal the new Corvette first. Hopefully the Z/28 will be a 2018.
