Kelley say's $31,500 good condition, $32,500 very good condition...I added in navigation, manual and roof, you didn't give that info, also not knowing your zip code it could not compare with vehicle prices in your area...So with that it looks like a good deal for you...Do you know the seller???Will you be getting it inspected by a shop before purchase???Does it have aftermarket warranty???If the answers is yes to those questions and everything checks out you should be good to go...

42,000 miles is pretty high IMO for a FI engine, even though these are bullet proof engines. I'd have it major gone through and checked out and see if you can swipe it for 29,000$.

+1 on the mileage. That would be a definite downer for me. How does the paint look, especially on the front bumper and around the wheels? Also, check the tires. What kind did the owner install (assuming they are not originals) and what is their condition?

FI engines can handle mileage. There are a lot of FI, GM LS engines with loads of miles, and of course our CTS sisters, with many of them at or near the 100k mile mark.

What concerns me is buying a ZL1 at that mileage, when the majority of the examples on the market have low and very low mileage. If the cost is an issue, where the lower retail on a unit with more usage is more affordable, then you could investigate it. Make sure that the car has documented service records. Otherwise, I'd say to shop around and bargain hard for a ZL1 with low miles.

One that sticks out right away is the 3800 3.8 Grand Prix GTP that came supercharged off the lot, yeah those things lasted 250k+ miles.

I don't think a ZL1 with high mileage would be an issue other than just straight up potential abuse/neglect/lack of proper maintenance.

In many cases mileage is not that big of a concern...Those that are overly concerned are owners that don't use the car as a daily driver...They are correct that you can generally find one with lower mileage, which to me is an indication that the car was not purchased with daily driving in mind...Kelly said the average mileage on a 2013 should be around 42,000, when I purchased mine a 2013 as well it had 3,500 miles on it and I paid a considerably higher price, I've had it for a year and have tried to drive it as much as possible and to date it only has 8,600 miles...My American Bulldog "Tank" loves to ride, but as much as I love him, he is not riding in the ZL1, I have a older model Expedition that is his dedicated vehicle, because when he see's me pick up my wallet and a set of keys, he's ready to ride or die...I hate having to tell him that he has to stay and protect the house, he gets so sad...So there are many reasons for the mileage disparity....If you like the car and it checks out in good condition buy that bitch!!!

One downside is the 2013 Mylink. The original Mylink was very buggy. The 2013 Mylink did not function consistent with the HUD. This might be a small deal but once it starts acting up can be annoying. I've had two 2013s with the same problems. No such problems with my 2014.

Iffy, there are half a dozen in this price range retail but you would be traveling or shipping most of them. The northeast has a +2-3k localized price adjustment.

This would be a far better purchase, This one in NY with 30k miles

You've seen this documented by GM as a recall? The 2013 MyLink works perfectly with the HUD to my knowledge, though there are known BT issues. You most likely had a random bad unit.
