ZL1 Bumper and hood change

So, someone was nice enough to back into my 2012 SS, kinked the hood and put a hole in bumper. So as mad as I was, I am fine because I might replace it to look like a ZL1. Up to now, I have LTH, Cam, Super Charge and E85 conversion. I put ZL1 headrests and steering wheel and dyed the white stitching red. Looks sharp So my question is this. Have you done the front clip and hood swap, and if so, what aftermarket part did you get, and how did the lines look? Also, thinking of lowering, any advise here? Coilovers or just a drop kit? One last question. I am pretty handy, and thinking of doing the replacement stuff myself, any offers of suggestion here? Thanks in advance!! If there are other thread covering this, kindly link

You seem to be me 3yrs ago (except for you being supercharged). I went with a ZL1 and a Seibon Hood and it all fit perfectly. I purchase the fascia through Gary's Custom, and purchased the hood online. The fascia fit perfectly and matched perfectly. I bought some eagle eye headlights and replaced the old ones while the fascia was off. You can see the pics in my Album if you like.

As for lowering, I always recommend Hotchkis because I am very happy with the stance and the performance gained from them. You can get the sways and endlinks, braces etc. later if needed, or get the entire kit at once like Mr. Stacy did. So many good brands here, and Hotchkis is one of them.

Did the entire ZL1 appearance conversion ALL OEM GM parts back in 2012.

I ordered the bumper and spoiler from Gary's customs and had him paint to match (perfect), picked up the hood off Ebay with the ECF insert for $1500 shipped (takeoff hood), picked up the wheels from a member on here in May 2013 for $2800 shipped with brand new Eagle F1's.

I had Gary fix the hood lines at the time I had an aftermarket ZL1 hood, then I picked up an OEM ZL1 hood the following year. I will be having my ZL1 bumper re-painted this winter so I will have the hood lines moved back to line up with the hood again.

Very nice!!! That's factory stance correct? Why you go to oem hood over aftermarket?

Thanks I installed the OEM ZL1 springs it gave me a 1.25" drop over stock. I had a fiberglass ZL1 hood I was just not happy with it the insert part just did not look right for me. I then went with the ACS TL1 insert for the stock Camaro hood I really liked that one and I would have kept it if I had not run across the OEM ZL1 take off hood with the ECF insert and the hood was painted black I mean $1500 shipped is a steal. And last since I have all of the OEM ZL1 parts installed I might as well have the final appearance piece the real hood and insert.

1st photo is the Fiberglass hood
2nd Photo is the ACS TL1 insert on the stock Camaro hood
3 & 4 OEM ZL1 hood

At that angle its honestly hard to see the difference. They all look great! Have you done any ZL1 stuff inside? I will take some pics of mine, the red dye on the stitching looks great!
