A good soapy hand wash no waxes or polishes. I've always prep the area with a light alcohol pad before i apply vinyl never had any issues.

I would use alcohol and a microfiber towel or applicator. Wipes are made of paper. Paper is made of wood. Wood will scratch paint.

not recommended at all. but if you use it. don't use a ton and wipe dry quickly. I've seen it eat the clear if too much is used and for to long.

The only way necessary is to wash the area with dawn dish soap until it is literally squeaky clean. The squeak ensures the are no waxes left which will prevent adhesion. There's no reason to use alcohol. Good luck

Alcohol and microfiber works for me everytime and Ive done my share of vinyl graphics.
