Other than roll-backs and neutral drops, donuts have to the worst thing for your car, especially 3rd and 4th gens. I wouldn't do anything like that without at least having SFC's. Too many horror stories of cars twisting from stuff like that without Sub-Frame Connectors.

if you are talking about the twisting forces applied to the car, any time you push the gas pedal, some force from the motor spinning gets transferred to the body of the car. however when doing donuts, you are rolling the car somewhat as you spin around which adds to the twisting from the motor.

Exactly. Thats why the 83 didn't see any slicks until SFC's and the 99 hasn't seen anything like that yet.

Now that I think of it...Dang, how do you straighten out the frame! That must be a major PITA, that probably makes an opti look easy.

Why don't you start a thread? You'd get more answers. You might want to elaborate more on what you are mean.

you'd need a frame puller. basically, pull the front and rear bumpers off. then hook up to either side of the front and back of the car and straighten it out.... gets expensive tho

Does a twisted frame affect performace at all? Or just a wear-and-tear thing?
