If he is referring to crank hp it would be closer to 750...

Are a Dodge...But what gets me the most is the cost $20k to $30k for a '17 vs less than forty k for an excellent condition Gen 5 and 7k to 8k in mods...By all means get what you want so you will not regret the purchase...You only live once (unless you're a cat) and I've learned to purchase what really makes me happy and adds joy that cannot be compared...

Like I've said earlier, if I didn't have a 5th gen ZL1 then I'd be salivating over the 6th gen. It will be a hell of a runner for sure.

Couple of things that irks me about the 6th gen, and those things are:
-Front grille...massive and you can see the bumper reinforcement.
-Recaro seats......they lack the swag and good looks of the 5th gen set.
-no console guages. I know they're almost useless but they do look good and they give the dash and interior a nice accent....a throwback to the sweet late sixties.

One or two smaller things that are not worth mentioning. I am looking forward to the 6th gen whomping some bavarian and japanese butt on the track....just like the 5th gen did.

With the 6th gen ZL1 besting top 10 vehicle in the world (N.R.) and expected $50-55k after incentives this time next year, there isn't a snowballs chance in hell I'd walk out and purchase a '13-15 unless it was a steal (<$25k).

If you're looking to upgrade I hope there is a surplus and incentives can get to the price range you quoted...Because I sure don't want you to melt...

Exactly, the Hellcats are still going strong entering their 3rd yr of production with FCA not offering any incentives on them as of yet.

Well if my predictions hold true, and by the decade's end if this genre of 500+ hp cars ceases production, then IMO we won't see prices decreasing drastically for new and used. If the segment ends, it could happen that prices will stabilize and values may even appreciate (a long shot that would need at least a decade to materialize)....you never know.......stranger things have happened.
