Exhaust Removal

Hello,

Has anyone successfully removed a 2010-12 stock Camaro SS exhaust system? I'm trying to replace a parking brake cable but the exhaust system is in the way😑

Lots of people have. It comes out in one big piece from mid-pipe back.

4 jack stands, get car as high as possible(unless you got a lift) loosen both slip clamps(no need to remove!) and push toward engine...need two peeps lower at disconnect point and pull entire exhaust forward and down carefully.....once down pull entire system out the back.....install is reverse but make sure to push exhaust up as high as possible before tightening clamps to it make sure it doesn't hit cross brace...peace out...plus lots of other writes ups on the forum...

btw-wat was wrong with cable requiring replacement?

It comes off in one piece from the cats back.

I had to remove the rear diffuser to get the exhaust off the rubber hangars.

The clamp at the cat has two spring tangs that need to be released before the exhaust can slide out.

The only thing holding it in is the clamp at each cat and the rubber hangars, two on each side.

Okay- sorry to necro an old thread. I’m trying to get my ARH system off and it’s giving me fits. I have both hangers on each side in back off and clamps off the headers and midpipes and cant get any movement on it. Any tips?
