It was mentioned already and shot down as this photo being an artist's vision of the HUD being there. There's still hope, we'll find out tomorrow hopefully.

Not sure if it's true, but to me the Sky looks a hell of alot better than the Solstice..... and those poor saps who paid over sticker for the Solstice when it came out could have had the same car in the Sky for not a penny over MSRP.

My supervisor bought a Red Line Sky 5 speed manual 2 years ago. It looks so killer.

Great job GM on a truly remarkable car. It'll be an RS/SS for me.

When you purchased a 1st Gen SS or Z28 with the RS trim package the SS or Z28 designation always remained (the RS was not shown on the car). I believe that the same will hold true with the 5th Gen. So, the SS with RS trim will have the SS badging...IMHO.

There was a post somewhere in this thread regarding wishing it was Sirius, not XM. I believe that XM and Sirius are awaiting final approval from the FCC on a merger. So possibly they will be one and the same in the near future. Please correct me if I am wrong on this.

those sky's are awesome i remember the first time i saw it i considered it like a camaro jr...because i just saw the camaro concept at the auto show

you can put a corvette engine in the sky and do some real numbers

but i'm wondering if pontiac could just use the camaro platform and make a t.a. like saturn took the solstice platform

anybody from gm that can confirm that saturn did use the solstice platform without telling the pontiac guys?

After scanning through the bazillon posts, I don't think I have seen it mentioned but, I'm not convinced that those tail lights are LEDs. They look REAL close to the concept which WERE LEDs but I just don't know.

I was always hoping for LEDs all the way around but it won't make or break the deal.

I hope the 3,900lbs is wrong, I would think it would be more than 100lbs lighter than the G8 GT. I wasn't expecting 3,500lbs but 3,750 for the V-8 would have been good. Won't stop me from buying one of course....

The reason weight is an issue is it affects everything. Agility most of all but also fuel economy and general handling. You can't overcome the laws of physics by just adding more power unless all your roads are straight lines.
