New FAST LSX-R 102mm intakes for LS3

My shop has aquired the first five of these intakes in the country, along with 5 of the new 102mm FAST TBs.

We will be doing dyno testing with this intake tomorrow on a bone stock 2010 camaro.

If anyone here has a modded 2010 camaro and is near the Memphis, TN area, and wants to help us with some dyno testing (we can pay you back with a discounted intake or a discount on other parts?) please let us know.

results will most likely be posted by the end of the day tomorrow.

Thanks.

The TBs are cable driven. Im selling this batch for 469.00 and this batch of intakes for 929.00

I doubt they will ever be this cheap again though. Im running a special just because I was able to beat all the bigger shops to the punch on getting this stuff. Im sure once the larger shops get these, the price will be set and I will have to price the next ones accordingly.

The intakes are already backordered to the tune of 175 units.

Shops will be getting their shipments next week. I believe 150 total intakes are being shipped out to various shops.

2 are spoken for. I have three left for sale.

Im getting PMd like crazy on the site where I am a sponsor. Im fairly confident that by the weekend those three will be gone.

I figure some folks will want to wait and see the dyno results before jumping on them, and I understand that completely.

i found this online, i hope the intake makes more power than what the claims are, 14hp and 11 ft# at the flywheel, for $1000:

FAST™ engineers teamed up with airflow specialists at RHS™ to develop a polymer intake manifold for rectangular port GM L92/LS3 engines. Testing on a stock LS3 engine with a Big Mouth 102mm Throttle Body™ produced gains of 14+ horsepower and 11+ ft/lbs of torque at the flywheel over the stock intake. The LSXR™ 102mm Intake Manifold features a three-piece modular design that allows easy disassembly and porting. Extensive testing led to a runner design that is longer and less restrictive and gives the user the ability to remove individual runners from the manifold for modification.

why so?
I say that's a pretty good gain. Remember, they're not including numbers with a performance cold air intake. Those numbers are just manifold and throttle body.
You need to look at what numbers you will get when combined with other components.

An intake manifold is not just about bolt on power, nobody would buy it for 1000 bucks and get 14hp. It's expensive but worthwile upgrade it helps anything you add breath better, meaning cai and the engine in general. I planned to purchase one of these and I knew those numbers ahead of time, glad they are finally about ready to ship.

if it was rear wheel hp i could maybe see it,, but 14 crank hp = about 3 rear wheel hp gain

i guess we wait and see the real world rear wheel #'s

you are doing your math wrong.
you need to add the number to the crank number.

let's say that there is a 15% driveline loss at the wheels.

I'm going to use the LS3 as an example.
426 hp - 15% loss = 362rwhp

with the LSXr manifold and throttle body it adds 14 hp at the crank.
so that would be 440hp

now 440 hp - 15% loss = 374rwhp

so in reality there is a 12rwhp gained.

but remember the point of this mod is not to gain horsepower, but to reduce weight, heat, and gain better airflow. Which means a cold air intake would gain a huge advantage out of this. So people might see higher numbers with their intakes.
