how much will it cost to get to 1000hp

just in case anybody from the 2010 2011
chevy camaro ss wants to know how to get to 1300 hp if done right a little over 100,000 .basically we jut took the body put bigger engine, transmission and everything else high performance. and this has taken forever.its really not possible to run this much power on the street unless your racing for money.take air out of tires ,adjust suspension.
so if your really looking for a race car it could cost you a minimum of 100,000 cause I know I spent more.
but if your looking for a daily driver, then just pit in a a cat back stainless steel headers and a different supercharger
don't waste money just trying for more rwhp because you
will kill that engine with more than 550 rwhp
hope this helps

Only 550 on the 6.2? That's a shame.

Forged short block; ported high end ls7 heads; and twin turbos should come in way under that budget with a good rear and suspension upgrades to boot. The initial cars cost and those things that are cosmetic and do not make it go don't count towards build cost.

1000 + HP If I wanted that I would be like the guy who got a COPO licensed...LOL And I know I have enough power now just stroked and stuff to be scary enough and keep a eye on the axles and getting out of the throttle being fishy with TC on , pretty good for a stock car that's holding the rear together with BMR suspension parts upgrades basically.
And HP on some things can be sky high, its the torque that gets yah there and getting the power to the ground, and of course shifting... Ever see that one Camaro where the guy had Kendig do it twin turbos and supercharger he was like 1300 HP...LOL and that's not your grocery getter type of car.......Most prefer a street strip type that is more street and if they have the supporting mods from learning they can keep it together if they use good oil and don't wheel hop the rear to death or rev it to death...LOL And change out the springs as...well a car with that much boost screams for higher maintenance also.... To keep it together with 550 rwhp is a area that's just more problematic as its really the 500 rwtq + that's more important. And for anyone trying to decipher this there is a excellent article about "what breaks on a 10-11 Camaro" from hot rod that people should read for knowledge on related stuff. http://www.hotrod.com/articles/hrdp-...parts-failure/ sure a early article and does not mention the timing chain tensioner really being the deal, a c5r chain, or pump except for high revs which it could use a better pump anyway, trunnion things most of us do while upgrading to a three bolt cam .....says upgrade the injectors too early, talks about using launch control which is rather high really with 3500 more a launch and not burnout take off point for most, etc etc.... But still a good article to read to pass along , Have a nice day.
