I was just thinking the same thing haha. However there is one huge draw back to the no cap idea. You must carry the stupid funnel to put gas out of a can into the car incase you run out of gas or you need to put race fuel in! Also no ordinary funnel will work.

Yeah...my hook worked fine for the first couple thousand miles, but then suddenly the gas cap started falling off. Irritating. GM...don't lose precious customer loyalty over something this silly!!
