2SS has nothing to do with the lights and no 2010-13s had LED tail lights. It's the RS package that gives you HIDs and only the 2014-15 RSs had LED tail lights.

HUD has nothing to do with RS. HUD is a 2LT/2SS/ZL1 feature. On 2011-13s the HUD is monochrome. On 2014-15s the HUD is color and they are interchangable. So you can tell which HUD they used by checking to see if the display is color or not.

You got this part backwards. On 2010-13 models, the non RS uses the halogen head lights as the DRLs and has fog lights with the fog lamp switch in the in the middle of head light swtch. 2010-13 RS models have the HID head lights, but do not have fog lamps or a fog lamp switch. They have DRLs in the fog lamp location. I think all 2014-15 2SS's have fog lamps with the switch, RS or not.

There should NOT be two, separate, 3rd brake lights. On the convertible, the 3rd brake light is right behind the back glass on the rear lip of the trunk. I did NOT come on the trunk lid or the spoiler.

Removed the bumper this weekend and I want to update everyone what I found. As you know this car was put back together with a lot of ZL1 parts. I've noticed the ZL1 fascia seems to have like 4 foglights. Two that are reflector and two that are projection. My SS fascia has only the projection Fogs. I believe the harness under my bumper is a ZL1 harness. The fog light harness was all hooked up with H11 and looked normal. Though the wires did not have power when the fog button was pushed, I could hear a relay clicking and fuse #50 was not blown. There were 2 additional wires hanging down by the fogs that were not hooked up. I probed these wires and they were powered on and off with the fog button in the headlight switch. I cut the wires going to the H11s and spliced them to the other wires that had a small oddly shaped yellow plug. the new wires were lt blue and black. The old wires were black and purple. I taped up the old purple and black wires. I still dont know under what conditions or if there is a switch somewhere that would make them have power. Thanks everyone for your help so far. I'm learning a lot and loving my "bastardized" car as christianchevelle put it.

Innovation is the mother of invention, see solved your own problem, unfortunately I do that a lot all the time from necessity as many do. Hope you got a good deal, now mod it and make it yours....LOL Because its the right thing to do...LOL Put some aftermarket lights if you want or under hood etc... And welcome to the addiction.....

PS; lots of aftermarket spoilers come with a third brake light, I like my zl1 light in my spoiler as I run louvers in back and the other stock light is more hidden due to them.
