Just a few more! You know you want it. After a year and a half of research, I've learned these are really robust engines compared to foreign counterparts. I've got one buddy with a BMW series 1 i135 TT and as soon as he touched it, things started breaking. And another buddy with a late model GTR and he cant keep it out of the dealership's shop because of all the issues.
Chevy made another great engine line for us to play with. lets not let it go to waste.

Anyone figure out where they are going to get pistons from ? That's the biggest thing holding me back from the rods...

I still think the easiest route would be to just get the pistons from diamond as they've already made pistons that work, they should be able to easily change the dome to suit your compression needs?

Other companies to try would be Wiseco, JE, Probe, I'm sure there are quite a few out there. I've used custom Probe pistons in sprint car engines with great success.

Side note, we're up to 8 people now! only 2 sets left unspoken for...

Jason,
I found the spec sheet you posted on the LFX (Camaro forum)a few weeks ago and was going to send it to Wiseco and Diamond, and damned if I can't find it now.
If you have it ,can you send it to me ?
I am interested in the rods you are forging, but not having fun trying to find anyone that wants to manufacture custom pistons to go with them..
Thanks

Are you talking about this one here?

Also, if anyone is trying to message me, I forgot to pay my sponsor $$ so my inbox limit was reduced to nothing and I can't get messages on here right now. I just paid this morning, but sponsorship won't be active until tomorrow, so if you need to contact me, email jason at jacfab dot com

Are the LLT and LFX bores the same? If I was to order the same type of Diamond pistons Jantzen did except with a larger dome for 11.3:1 compression ratio, will it work?

Yes the LLT and LFX are both a 94mm bore. however, I don't know if the domes are the same? They may have some slight differences? But then again, they may not.

great question any way to find out.. if we LLT guys can use the same piston with 11.3:1 a group buy might be a way to save some coin.. thanks

Noticed on the specification sheet the cylinder bore range is 3.7005-3.7011, piston diameter is 3.6998-3.7013, nominal new clearance is 0.001. Something's not right.
